Now is the time for a new you. Whether it is a burning ambition or secret aspiration. Have you been undermining your own success? now is the time to get over yourself and live the life you have dreamed of. Do you find you only take small steps towards your cherished goals before you get distracted or revert to bad habits? It is easy to find something to blame, pressures from the outside world, family commitments, work issues or just lack of money? Self sabotaging saps the energy we need to create more of the lifestyle we crave for in life. For many of us, the biggest battle is with ourselves. We make conscious goals but subconscious fears and emotions surely hold us back. Often, the reason we jeopardise happiness is because of deep seated feelings about self worth. How we view ourselves is central to what we create and attract in our lives. If we feel we don't deserve to be happy or successful we will subconsciously find ways to sabotage this. Hence we only create as much love, success and joy in our lives as we feel worthy of. Bad habits can create more and more to the point you don't realise what you are doing to yourself. Sometimes unresolved emotions can block you. Negative conditions that you have experienced can cause blockage and sabotaging affects. You can create and change these but self help and self will is the key to get through this. Observe yourself. Don't listen to what people say and don't react to them as many people want an reaction from a action. Pretend you are someone else watching someone's behaviour. This realisation can help you overcoming limited beliefs in life. You are not too old to change ways, behaviours it is about reprogramming yourself of what we have instilled inside of us. Remember success is not Black and White Imagine what true success would be like? Feel it, see it and visualise it happening in your life. Like attracts like and it is the law of attraction. Sometimes people often self sabotage due to perfectionism and we are all not perfect hence is why we are on this earth to learn, experience, see and taste. Sometimes we may be in denial about why we are stuck or feel. Think Beyond Yourself Most of us don't like to consider ourselves as selfish but it is also true to say not from a judgemental perspective and more of an observational one that self sabotage ruins stuff for others and is therefore selfish behaviour. People so often deny they are behaving selfishly because they don't intend to be selfish but behaviour is behaviour like it or not. Only you can change your behaviour and i use a saying "treat people how i would like to be treated" yes there are people who deserve a lot more than love, kindness and empathy but don't lower yourself to their standards. Explore Life All of life is an exploration. Imagine if Cinderella had decided she really couldn't go to the ball even when she has the opportunity, or if he ugly duckling had concluded it wasn't good enough to fly high with the swans? Being open to life means seeing where certain experiences will take you and accepting openly the good as well as the bad. Of course, if something really isn't working or it genuinely isn't for you, that's fine but if it is really a reluctance to explore lie and to experience the good and health, then it is an area that needs some self work. Source - uncommonhelp.me Articles. You tube - Mind Map. ![]() When I came into this world, it was like I had one foot here and one foot in the spiritual world. I knew my life was (very) different and was seeing things no one could. I always felt I was a very different person in this world, some could understand me who have touched this part of their life and some had no clue what I was about and the judgements that got passed often hurt my soul especially people born into this world with spiritual sensitivity and much empathy towards others. Being the caring soul I am I often at times put my own health and welfare at risk to the detriment of others (Although I now know different in this area). Many years ago I envisioned a fairy tale story of life. Like the childhood books we all read. Alice in Wonderland, bedknobs and broomsticks but in reality life is very different and far from it. That fairy tale life has been far from it, here I am 46 years old and wanting so much a pathway that I so wish for sometimes but instead I have had Lots of upset, people blocking my pathway and a lot of angry people I have walked my path with. Ego at a time I did not know what the word meant until I fully entered spiritualism which is my belief, something I resonate with on many levels, this was were I had the bang on the head so to speak. Selfishness, resentment, disrespectful bullying people is not the key way forward in life. Life is one big school but oh yes I have learnt many lessons too on the way and I have gone through the ego trap myself. Some very challenging aspects of lessons to the point it brought sheer exhaustion in my life and ill health. It wasn't until I mixed with like minded souls and learnt a whole lot more. One particular thing I have learnt is energy as it is easy to learn– there is energy you tune into straight away and you know whether that person is telling a truth, lie or even fairy tales. Some I do mix with, some I try to help but others I simply let go and walk away. It is them battling with their own self and as I am on another dimension to those who are in this category – their life they will learn and if they don't learn in this life they have to do it all again until they do learn. People are vulnerable right from birth, our ancestors play a part in our life and similarities, sometimes these can help or hinder your life and it is not about blaming, your mother, aunty, uncle or gran but we as humans can break that cycle if we so wish to do. Yes we do come here to learn many lessons for our own soul growth but as long as we recognise our mistakes then we can move further along our progression. As Maurice Barbanell’s guide Silver Birch Said: “You must recognise that this [mental and spiritual evolution] is an endless process in your world and in the whole universe . . . so go on making mistakes, learning from them and getting better spiritually all the time. We spiritualists on the basis that life for every human soul is never ending. A continuous eternal journey of spiritual progress and evolution. We muddle through the hard time on the ultimately positive premise that the soul grows through the facing challenges and adversities. (Extract from PN). Until next time..... With love and many blessings. xx What is the Law of Attraction?
Imagine if having your heart's desire was as simple as wishing for it to happen. According to the Law of Attraction, it is. Made popular by the 2006 film and bestselling book, called The Secret, this spiritual philosophy hit the media spotlight in the Noughties, with US television host Oprah Winfrey devoting two episodes of her talk show to it. But the idea actually dates back to the spiritual New Thought Movement of the early 20th century. Based on the principle that positivity attracts more positivity, and negativity attracts negativity, it claims to be a method through which you can, literally, think your way to success. The Law of Attraction says that your thoughts create your reality. Sounds complicated, but it simply means that the thoughts you have can become your experience of life. So if you dwell on negative thoughts, such as: 'I can't get that job' 'I'm not worthy of love' 'I'll never have a family' This becomes how other people perceive you, how you see yourself and so, eventually, becomes your reality. Equally, according to the Law of Attraction, like attracts like, so if you constantly think about how everything might go wrong in your life or that bad things, like illness, accidents or misfortune could happen - you may be attracting them. This is a controversial viewpoint for some people but spiritual ideas are often meant to be challenging. Make it work for you To work with the Law of Attraction, you need to believe good things will happen. But it's a step further than just positive thinking. Some spiritual teachers call it 'conscious creating'. You have to change your old negative beliefs, breaking away from thought patterns that hold you back from achieving success. But you are not just 'hoping' for the best to happen but you are wholeheartedly 'expecting' it to become reality. This is the tricky part. For the Law of Attraction to work, you have to believe you deserve success, which can be difficult for some people. It requires a total shift in your mindset from limiting your scope to revealing the limitless possibilities open to you. So instead of thinking: 'I'm never going to achieve anything.' A person following the Law of Attraction would think: 'I expect to achieve y and z. Today I'm going to do X to start my path towards this goal.' For example: Old thinking: 'I'm worried I will become ill' Law of Attraction: 'My health is good. I will continue to eat healthy foods and exercise regularly' Old thinking: 'I'll never have enough money' Law of Attraction: 'I expect money to flow into my life. I will be a success in my work and earn more money' Old thinking: 'I'm not as successful as my friends' Law of Attraction: 'My friends respect and care about me. Who has the most money or a better job is irrelevant to a true friendship' Be a magnet for Success with the Law of Attraction Focus on what you want The more you focus on your goal, the more real it will become. So if you want to increase your confidence: behave as if you are confident. If you want a particular promotion: start thinking about what you would do in the role. By believing that you will achieve your goal, the Law of Attraction says you will draw this positive outcome to you and make it real. Forget your fears This is not an invitation to behave recklessly, rather it means you should stop thinking about all those niggling, pointless worries that people tend to obsess over. For example: *Your pet is in perfect health but you know she'll get sick in the future and it's something you worry about constantly. *Your work colleague has always been polite but you worry she secretly dislikes you. *No mention has been made of redundancies at work, but you can't stop worrying that it could happen to you. Stop thinking negative thoughts! Negativity attracts more negativity. In examples like the ones above, negative thinking is pointless and damaging. The Law of Attraction tells us to focus on the positives in each situation and the negatives will fall away. Create happiness Even if you feel as if life is giving you a rough ride at the moment, don't dwell on disappointments and setbacks. Deal with practical problems quickly then move on. Focus on imagining your life as you would like it to be. Take ten minutes at the end of each day to visualise yourself living your dream life. By doing this, you are consciously creating happiness in your mind. The Law of Attraction states that when you think and believe in your ideal life, it will become much more likely to happen in reality. Vision Board to manifest what you desire in your life. You are the creator of your own life.1/3/2015 WANT TO ATTRACT A PERFECT LIFE?
How to make a vision Board Vision boards are a way to attract good things into your life. Here is how to create one and then supercharge it with spiritual energy to make your dreams come true. Before you start, think about why you want to make a vision board. Perhaps you want to manifest something specific, like a new job, or maybe you have been having a hard time lately and want to attract more luck into your life? Choose the above option (Image) if there are several specific things you want to manifest – for example a new home in a particular area? Write affirmations on your board that sum up your goals? Now you have decided what you want to put on it. Use your intuition as a guide, cut out uplifting imagesfrom magazines; internet or pick photos you have taken that represent yourwishes. If any important phrases come tomind, write them down on scraps of paper to add to your board too. For the board:- You willneed a large (A3) piece of stiff card. You can shape it as a hexagon, circle or just into sections -You can use North, South, East and West or Air, wind, Earth and fire or the Angels whatever you feel you are drawn to as a guide. Make the middle your desires or wishes. If you input vision boards into google images there is a wide selection for your to browse to give you an idea. Decorate it how you like with whatever you are drawn to and once dried if you have used paints etc. Play around with your words, pictures and images you have chosen. Feel comfortable where you want to place them. NOTE:- When creating a vision board you need to feel that the things you want to manifest are already real. So picture yourself living in your new home for example as you assemble the board. Or by driving that new car whatever it is visualise your intents and having it. During a new moon phrase –Thursdays are the best day of summoning wishes. Make sure your house is quiet with no interruptions while your making your board. Enjoy and have fun and mostof create the future you wish for. xxxxx January 1 is the most important day of the year for me. That day I set aside to reflect on what I’ve accomplished the previous year and decide what I want to do in the coming year. It’s a day of contemplation and reflection, but it’s more than that. It’s also a day of commitment to action for what I decide to do on January 1 determines my path for the next twelve months. I’d like to share with you the goal setting process that I have developed and hope it is a value to you.
Setting the Stage: Sit quietly with you diary or journal and you have to do is to signal your subconscious that an important event or events are to take place this year. Step One: Close your eyes or keep them open, whatever works for you, but wait until you reach a calm, detached place before proceeding. In this calm state ask your higher self, “What are 10 things I’d like to do this year” When the answers start coming pick up the journal and write them down. Step Two: When no more items come easily to your mind, regardless of the number, stop writing. Force nothing. Now look at what you have written. Are there any patterns? Is anything or anyone conspicuously absent. Decide which items are your top 5 priorities for the year. Maybe you will be able to do all 10 but prioritizing is good practice so that we learn to focus and not spread ourselves too thin. Step Three: Examining your 5 priorities make a list of what pushes you forward to get them, the driving forces, and what holds you back, the restraining forces. The greater our driving forces and the lesser our restraining forces, the better our chance of getting our goal. Determine how much energy you will put into increasing your driving forces and decreasing your restraining forces. If your restraining forces are the greater, you may wish to consider dropping that goal and focusing on another one. Having unrealistic goals is one of the ways we sabotage ourselves in life. Step Four: Examine your goals to make sure they are within your power to make happen and that they are concrete and specific. This step will help you to eliminate goals like “I want to win the lottery” and “I want my family to be happy.” The first goal is not within your power and the second goal is not concrete and specific. Instead of saying, “I want my family to be happy”, you could say, “I will devote one hour daily to do whatever my son or daughter would like to do.” This is just an example you may have other goals you wish to pursue. Step Five: Develop action plans consisting of several steps that will move you from where you are now to your goal. Give yourself a date to start and a date to accomplish your goal. This step is your commitment to action. Lists will not get your goal only action will do that. Starting is the hard part. Once you have accomplished a few steps you will gain momentum and it’s easier to reach your goal than not to reach it. Step Six: Close your eyes and visualize yourself getting your goals. Practice this visualization every day. You can even write down your desires and wishes via a dream board. Why not get creative and draw a vision board. (More on this in the next blog). Let’s hedge our bets and do both the visualization and the practical steps of our action plan. Who knows maybe we’ll improve 47% that way. Step Seven: Save your goal list and after you have written your goals for this year, take a look back at this year’s list and see how many goals you accomplished. You will be incredibly and pleasantly surprised. Blessings Debbie x TAKING BACK YOUR POWER.
What is power? Quite often people misunderstand what being powerful means and most of us have been conditioned to not trust power, to believe that being powerful means that you have an ego. That you are a mean person, that you have money and lots of it, that you are a criminal or that only the chosen elite can be powerful. Power corrupts you and it can.... Wouldn't you want your own power? well its easy, you just have to tap into your own authenticity, truth, integrity and self belief. Lots of different things can dis empower us, not speaking our truth, not being who we want to be, letting others control us. Not telling others what we really want, the list goes on. 1.Speak your truth, in a loving way, tell people what you really want them to hear, . 2. Be yourself, don't try and be someone else just to fit in with the crowd 3. Allow time for yourself to enjoy your hobbies, days out, meeting friends 4. Don't apologise for what you want, and what you want to be 5. Embrace your dreams and aspirations, don't let others talk you out of this, they tend to put there fears about this onto you. 6. Listen to your heart, its the voice of your soul, its very wise, it knows what you need and what will make you happy. 7. what people think of you is none of your business, concentrate of what you think of yourself. 8. Stop criticising yourself, talk nicely to yourself, say well done when you do something good, encourage and praise yourself. 9 Break ties with friends and family and associates that criticise you and try and hold you back, make friends and associations with similar like minded people that encourage and support each other. 10. Love that inner child of yours, our inner child wants to play, have fun, to experience life, to dream, to travel, to embrace life, allow your inner child all this . I am sure I could write another 1000 words about this, its such a large subject, start with something small, say no to something you don't want to do. Start a hobby or do something that you have never done before., try an experience that you want to have, and keep trying new experiences.
Each time you do something like that, your power increases, speak your truth and just be you! Give yourself a gift of five minutes of contemplation in awe of everything you see around you. Go outside and turn your attention to the many miracles around you. This five-minute a day regime of appreciation and gratitude, will help you to focus your life in awe. Remind yourself, that you are just as much as a miracle as the lark and the snail.
